20 Gallon Recipe
Grains: 25 lb two row pale malt

5 lb american munich malt


4 lb english black malt

4 lb 40 L crystal malt

3 lb chocolate malt

1 lb flaked malt


Water for Dough-in:
13 Gal
Hopping: 4 oz N. Brewer HOPS (60 mins boil)
6 oz Cascade (3 oz 60 min boil, 3 oz 30 min boil)

3 oz Cascade Finish
extras: 3 tsp gypsum in mash H2O

2 tsp irish moss (30 mins boil)

2 cups rice hulls


2 cups molasses

Yeast:
White Labs English Ale (WLP002)
Starter Solution:
2 cup H2O and 1 cup of DME, start boil for 5 min, cool to 28 °C, pitch 1 slant yeast incubate at 28 °C

Finish notes:
O.G. = 1.054 - a solid Studebaker... tasting notes: chewy, good bittering and finish hop. bitter flavor holds out over finish hop as desired for a stout. hint of chocolate in the open.
